  • Fabio Luisi says:

A wonderful gentleman, loved by all, an old-school maestro who respected opera and people. He always had a word of encouragement for young artists. A master of details (school of Visconti, if I am not mistaken) but also of understanding the whole. We need more of this sort. He will be missed.

Thanks for your words, maestro Luisi! one of my most beloved operatic memories will always be Donizetti’s “La fille du regiment” conducted by You in the Teatro Municipal de Santiago in 1990, with the régie of the maestro Crivelli and the unforgettable performances of Luciana Serra and Rockwell Blake. Here in Santiago we were really lucky on having the maestro Crivelli creating different productions between 1989 and 2001, such a great artist!!! May He rest in Peace! And many greetings to You from Santiago, Chile!!!
