Italian singers grieve for their president, 58
RIPThe multi-talented Gianluca Floris, president of Assolirica (the national association of opera artists), has died after a long illness.
Starting out as a finalist in the Luciano Pavarotti International Voice Competition in Philadelphia, he juggled many roles in opera houses with a prolific writing career, publishing several novels, the last two titled La preda and L’ferno Peggiore.
He was also president of the conservatory in Cagliari and designer of a new opera house in Shanghai.
A full life, cut short.
