US music director returns from Covid break – and quits
NewsShortly after the Colorado Springs Philharmonic gave its first concert since the Covid shutdown, its Spanish music director Josep Caballé Domenech said he’d had enough.
He will see out one more season, leaving after a dozen years in the job.
He gave no reason but it seems he is disillusioned by a long labour dispute, during which the orchestra’s mission statement was diminished.
