US music director returns from Covid break – and quits
NewsShortly after the Colorado Springs Philharmonic gave its first concert since the Covid shutdown, its Spanish music director Josep CaballĂ© Domenech said he’d had enough.
He will see out one more season, leaving after a dozen years in the job.
He gave no reason but it seems he is disillusioned by a long labour dispute, during which the orchestra’s mission statement was diminished.
