Italy loses guitar pioneer to Covid
RIPThe Pescara guitarist and political activist Paolo Giordano died of Coronavirus on December 29, aged 59.
Acclaimed by the songwriter Lucio Dalla as ‘one of the best in Europe’, Giordano was said to be the first in ltaly to experiment with tapping and percussive techniques on the acoustic guitar. He opened Danna’s groundbreaking 1991 tour each night with a medley of original meditations for solo guitar and invented hos own hybrid harp-guitar.
