Here’s a fine new piece of brass and percussion music by Steve Pickett from Sir Mark Elder and the Halle Orchestra, as an appreciation of the work of the care sector during the pandemic. I’d have preferred to hear the music speak for itself without all the introductory and explanatory talk, but Pickett’s music for Fanfare for Care is definitely worth hearing.
Bravo to Sir Mark, Steve Pickett, and the Halle for their acknowledgement of these tireless workers.
