And it’s still big in the Metropolitan area….I watch it and cry everytime it airs. Brilliant.
If you say so. I wish I had liked it more, but it just did not work for me — not sure how such promising material and such a strong cast and such an important theme seemed so distanced and unmoving.
It was unfortunate in its release timing, what with the outbreak of Covid, and as a result has made very, very little of its $22 million+ budget back. So I hope it does go big in Japan.
I have just started to read The Game of Opposites, and so far I think it is also something that could be turned into a good film (cinema or even MOTW, if they still make those). But if they do try to film it, I hope there is less reserve in the presentation. The Song of Names deserved to be better.
