Israel orchestra mourns a second member
RIPWe noted yesterday the death of Ruth Maayani, principal harp of the Israel Symphony Orchestra Rishon leZion.
Today the orchestra are attending the funeral of Mira Menza, one of its founding violists, who died of cancer at 71.
Mira, whose father was a cellist in the Israel Philharmonic, was one of the kindest, most courteous, best loved musicians.
After early studies in Holland, she played several years in the Netherlands Radio Philharmonic Orchestra.
