He won’t,
Just won’t,
Can’t….
Exuse me, ma’am, the door is on the left of you 😉
I love your Bach, but your Haydn…something else!
Ha ha, “I love your back, but you’re hiding something else!”
Clever.
Matthews, don’t just stand there!
Get me a bucket . . . QUICK!!!
If I stand like this, do you think Norman will put me on slippedisc again?
OMG what are they going to say in SD?
“Oh no, Slipped Disc will never write about me dressed like this”
“Don’t worry dear Yuja.
Lola Astanova promised to cover her legs as well.”
“Is this the queue for the Wailing Wall?”
The wall is safer, I know that guy in the mask will drop me if I lean back.
“The review didn’t mention my clothes.”
“Don’t listen to them dear. Liberace was only half as glamorous as you. Mind you, he couldn’t half play the old Joanna.”
“Hey Yuja, it’s me, not John Eliot Gardiner!”
Some people can’t stop making fun of me.
Ma’am, I am sorry but that’s the shortest skirt we have.
Please… please, stop singing!!
“Wow, this plasma screen is really flat!”
“So am I.”
Great Wall
Günther Wang
Misinterpretation of Beethoven’s Hammerklaviersonate
”Gustavo [Gimeno], please, it is just one down, two left, three right, four up… Please, please, please! [Hitting rhythmically the wall]”
”I told you the skirt had to be cm cm long, not feet!!!”
This might hurt. Let me just remove my cufflinks…
“I told you the skirt had to be 3 cm long, not feet!!!”
No. Please not JEGGY again.
”I can’t reach it.”
”You have to move closer.”
I can’t stand getting hit on by guys wearing white tie and a mask.
“Not fast enough. Never fast enough”
„Celebrity pianist loses 1000000 Instagram followers after appearing in a long dress in a concert.”
No, no, no, this dress is on backward I tell you!!
Why do they always compare me to Lang Lang?
“I thought this ‘magic’ gown was going to change color, not grow four feet longer!”
Why oh why did my aunt made me play the piano when I was 3.
“These kegels are killing me!”
I’m sorry about the lost luggage Ms. Wang, but in Kansas City, I couldn’t find a second Walmart that is open on a Sunday.
This entire post and the responses it has elicited are tasteless and irrelevant to any possible musically-based discussion. You may only care about her thighs, but there are very many people who can concentrate on musical values, who consider Yuja a significant talent and a valued participant in today’s musical culture.
you, and others like you, are shrinking violets.
Yeah, I’ve had enough, too, of lecherous old (& young) men like you raging on constantly in defense of Yuja’s honor. It’s really old, “Enough Already”. YOU”RE enough already. I call you lecherous because if you weren’t you wouldn’t recognize that quality in other men. It takes one to know one.
Look, she’s a successful artist. She plays beautifully, makes a lot of money, presents herself as she pleases and I seriously doubt she cares what you or anyone else think about her.
What she wears makes a difference to men, not to other women. It’s astounding to observe. You guys are constantly going on about her – what she’s wearing, how she’s a great artist no matter what she wears, etc, ad nauseum. It’s ridiculous.
Just shut up and listen. If men want to lust after her, fine. That doesn’t depreciate her value as an artist. Let people enjoy Yuja as they wish.
So, So, Yuja W is making a contribution to musical culture. I think she has revolutionised the way recitals are organised and performed:
She changes her wardrobe after the first part, she appears for the performance of the second half of the concert in a different outfit, albeit always with stilettos.
Miss Wang is always praised for the clarity of her playing and the transparency of her performance, an art she enhances by wearing transparent fabrics and exposing her thighs. I recall the wonderful example of the performance of Op 106 (Beethoven) at Carnegie Hall on 16/6/16. Never has the audience understood more what transparency is in music.
Miss Wang inspires music criticism: there is hardly a review in which her clothes are not discussed. And that is precisely what is revolutionary: Miss Wang has succeeded in making the unimportant, the secondary matter, into the important, the main thing.
Miss Wang rejects feminists. That is correct. Her career proves what women are really for in culture: They must be beautiful, naked, possibly half-naked, and conformed to the patriarchy. It doesn’t matter if one or the other can also play the piano a bit….
I’m wearing my only long dress, and it turns out the entrance to the Concertgebouw stage down all the stairs is the only one in the world where a long dress is outright dangerous. I hate myself.
Yuga Wang, the finest pianist in the world, and the most beautiful!
I want to be alone.
They’re requesting! Please let me give them another encore!
Why do my Mozart cadenzas always sound like Wanda Landowska?
I thank God that I was born in the age of Yuja Wang. She can be as quirky as she wants, but when she sits before a Steinway, she is a Goddess.
Why did they not put my warmup keyboard on this wall like I asked???
