Bianca Jagger joins an orchestra
OrchestrasSo who’s on your board? And what’s their contribution?
Message received:
Bianca Jagger has joined the Board of Directors of the Oxford Philharmonic Orchestra Trust. She is a Nicaraguan social and human rights advocate and a former actress. Jagger currently serves as a Council of Europe goodwill ambassador, founder and chair of the Bianca Jagger Human Rights Foundation, member of the Executive Director’s Leadership Council of Amnesty International USA, and a trustee of the Amazon Charitable Trust. She was married to Mick Jagger, lead singer of the Rolling Stones, from 1971 until 1978.
Well, he IS a musician!
He nothing. This is about her, a distinctly distinguished woman.
I agree with you entirely. I find the name of a former partner a very strange part of a professional presentation.
The “professional presentation” has seemingly been copied verbatim from a section of her Wikipedia entry.
In addition, despite her admirable social and charitable work, her name is best known by most people as the former spouse of Mick Jagger.
She seems qualified.
Divorced in ’78? ‘Bout time she ditched the surname.
Why? She never remarried, and many divorced women who changed their names upon marriage do not “revert” after a divorce. She is the mother of a daughter whose name is Jagger. If she lived in Surbiton and had been married to an accountant and had a child, she would almost certainly go unquestioned as to her name.
