UPDATE: Verbier shrinks opening concert
NewsThe Verbier Festival has reduced its orchestra to chamber size for the opening concert, after ordering most members of the festival orchestra into isolation due to a Covid outbreak.
Valery Gergiev will conduct a small ensemble in Prokofiev’s First Symphony and Shostakovich’s First Piano Concerto, with Denis Matsuev as soloist.
