Major organ builder is destroyed by fire

Dobson’s are one of the major pipe-organ makers in the US.
Mercifully, nobody was killed.

Dobson built the magnificent instrument in Philadelphia’s Verizon Hall which I’ve had the pleasure of hearing many times when it was being played with the Philadelphia Orchestra. I’m glad no one was killed and I hope that company can get up back on the feet as quickly as possible.
This is horrible news. Out among the corn fields and soybeans, down the road from Lohrville – in the middle of nowhere and yet they produced magnificent world-class instruments. Pray they have the insurance and will to start over.
