I shall always be grateful to Lyrinx, and to René Gambini personally, for recording and supporting Catherine Collard, the luminous pianist who died at the cruel age of 46 in 1993.
When I want to remember Catherine, I often turn to her 3 CD set of Haydn piano recordings. Chez Lyrinx, bien sûr.

Absolutely amazing what this man achieved in terms of artist discovery and sound quality with small means in a French provincial city.
Such a great loss for the music world. He was a unique personality, whose choices were always the result of ideals and of a profoundly sincere love of the music.
