Pianist, recovered from Covid, mourns his mother
mainThe Spanish pianist Josu de Solaun who was rushed to hospital last month with Covid-19 will return tomorrow in Madrid to play De Falla’s Nights in the Gardens of Spain.
He spent seven days in a Valencia hospital with a ‘very serious’ prognosis.
Since then, his mother has died of the disease.
Tomorrow’s concert is in her memory.
This is heartbreaking. I hope he is able to recover well and soon, also with bearing the weight of such loss. Hopefully, music will help heal his soul.
