Here’s Denis Matsuev closing the 3rd Grand Piano Competition in Moscow yesterday.

Watch and wonder.

And here’s Matsuev’s selfie.

What’s the word for “superspreader” in Russian?

  • Anonymous says:

The Corona Blockwart is watching you!

  • Jan Kaznowski says:

    What a vulgar display

  • Sir Simon Fauci says:

Wow that is absolutely horrifying. These people should be jailed for this dangerous behaviour!

  • Brian says:

Makes sense. Matsuev falls in the steps of Netrebko, Gergiev and a handful of other high-profile cultural allies of Putin to disregard protective measures against the coronavirus.

The only thing to say is that many of these contestants are young and hopefully shouldn’t be too badly affected if they contract Covid.

    • Hayne says:

      Putin bad. Big pharma good.
      I finally get it. Thanks:)

      • Simpson says:

Yes, big pharma is a great thing. When you get sick and need a pill, that pharma is the only place where you might get that pill. People live well into their 90s now thanks to modern medicine. mRNA vaccines are a great scientific breakthrough, painting black the pharma that made them possible in such a short time makes no sense whatsoever.

        • Hayne says:

One can easily find all the deaths and lawsuits against big pharma online. Yes, they have made some excellent medicines but does the good outweigh the bad? They spend 8 billion dollars a year on tv ads in the US for good? Really? You do know the mRNA medical devices are being tested right now on the population? How does one know they aren’t dangerous?

      • annette says:

That’s very MAGA of you… Hayne.

    • SVM says:

Do you intend to spend the rest of your life keeping 2 metres away from everyone else? It has been over a year already, so it is long overdue to consider which “protective measures” are practicable and proportionate.

      • Ashu says:

[Do you intend to spend the rest of your life keeping 2 metres away from everyone else?]

They’re going to tell you to anyway, and it sounds like you’ll do what you’re told.

  • Darrell says:

The nonsense of the nonsense that we live in is a total nonsense. The Coronavirus madness better not mess with Russia and Putin, they always win.

  • Annette says:

I watched this live on Medici. The 2 Russians were very good. But the Chinese dude who played the Tchaikovsky piano concerto was the clear winner.
He was near flawless technically, had good artistry and sync with the orchestra.
And the audience gave him a huge ovation.
But the judges had already decided t his is to be a Russian event.
