I was unaware that DG was still in the classical music business.
And she’s absolutely terrific in the current ROH La Clemenza di Tito
not at all sorry – nothing special like the entire production – rarely seen such mediocre performance at ROH
Frankly this house has reached a very low level
Congratulations to Emily! She has a terrific voice and will go far.
Emily d’Angelo is a very special and charismatic artist. Sadly being a ‘yellow label’ artist no longer carries the clout it used to, but hopefully they invest properly in her and she does not produce half-baked releases that disappoint. That would be a welcome surprise!
I too felt a little underwhelmed by her Sesto at Covent Garden: expectations were high but sadly not fulfilled. That said, I have no doubt she will triumph in other things in the future.
I adore her and I had her as an astounding ANNIO. And she is a great, great human.
