Bolshoi mourns emigrant pianist
RIPThe outstanding pianist Lia Mogilevskaya was the leading accompanist of the Bolshoi Theatre, until she emigrated to the US.
Lia died in New York this week, aged 94. Many of the world’s pianists owe her their roles.
Among other US productions, she coached Seatlle Opera’s War and Peace.
