Good news. They say that it is childish to say that something is the ‘best’ or ‘greatest’, but in my book this is the greatest string quartet presently active. In particular, their Shotakovich performances are harrowing and their Bartok performances exude color and emotion that others don’t find. And there is much more….
I enjoyed their Shostakovich at Alice Tully Hall a few years ago. Hope to see them again soon.

If only the USA had a population of 9 million, we would have vaccinated ourselves completely 5 times over. As it stands, we’ve already given nearly 10 Israel’s worth of first vaccinations (88 million). But I’m sure everyone will keep riding this “Israel vaccinating a huge percentage of their [tiny] population” thing until the cows come home. Heck, we are clear to vaccinating 2.5 million people a day here, should we report it as, “USA vaccinates over 1/4 of Israel’s population EVERY DAY!” My point is, there’s no way this is the first fully vaccinated ensemble.
Population of the United States is 332 million or so? So 88 million about a quarter or so.

You’re probably right. Just point out any ensemble that got there first. Shouldn’t be difficult, given the numbers!
UK has only vaccinated a mere 3m. 26m single doses in limbo is not vaccination. The 12 week regime is “off label”. I will only consent to receive a vaccination under the following terms:
1. The vaccinator follows the correct standard regime as per manufacturer (and does not go “off label” with a 12 week gap), which invalidates the consent to vaccinate.
2. The second dose is from the same technique and brand as the first.
3. Full history is taken any contraindications eg Stevens Johnson syndrome are carefully observed. The Deltoid area is problematic, possible nerve damage, hence an alternative site should be chosen with those with SJS.
4. Recent clots events possibly linked to vaccination site/injection technique, Denmark suggests aspiration before dosing, avoid blood vessels!
5.Watch out for adverse reactions not listed in Yellow Cards.
6 Vaccine resistance with variants may be a problem which is why vaccinating UK with only AZ is unwise. Others eg subunit may be better.
Vaccination attenuates covid-19 symptoms preventing you from ending up in ICU. Evidence for preventing transmission of sars-cov-2 still a moot point. Masks will be needed for the next decade for sure.

Yes, Israel has done well percentage-wise but it’s 60% of about 9 million, so about 5 million or so. In Britain we have vaccinated over 32 million once out of 67 million, and for the second jab, 3 million are done.
