Tanglewood confirms a half-season
mainThe 2021 Tanglewood festival will offer six weeks of performances, amid comprehensive public health and safety policies. That’s about half the usual festival, and with provision for a live audience.
The content of the festival will be rolled out next month.
Although I live in the Boston area and love the BSO I’ve only been to Tanglewood once and that was years ago and yet I can’t tell you what a thrill I felt reading this news.
What a beautiful building! Where is it?
Good question! Not at Tanglewood, for sure.
The Seattle Symphony just announced a return to in-person performances this fall, though details on attendance remain to be defined:

Meany Center at the University of Washington is also planning to resume concerts, at reduced capacity.
So glad to read about the resumption of Tanglewood, at least part of it. However, the accompanying photo shows the campus of the Boston University Tanglewood Institute, adjacent to Tanglewood. BUTI will be online this summer.
Hoping for John Williams Violin Concerto No 2.
