Death of a New York conductor, 74
mainThe New York area conductor Joseph A. Guzman, known as Alex, has died.
The ensembles he led include the Regina Opera Company, the Staten Island Philharmonic, the Centre Symphony, Amore Opera, the New York Symphonic Arts Ensemble, the Rockaway-Five Towns Symphony, the Bronx Symphony, and more.
Guzman was a New York State Court Officer, who retired from that position in 2002 to be a full time conductor.
