Breaking: Salzburg loses Easter festival
mainpress release:
For the first time in the history of the Salzburg Easter Festival, this renowned event will not take place at its usual time, but this coming autumn. After long, detailed deliberations, Christian Thielemann, the Artistic Director of the Festival and Principal Conductor of the Staatskapelle Dresden and Intendant Nikolaus Bachler have decided together with Govenor Wilfried Haslauer and Mayor Harald Preuner to move the Festival from the Easter weekend to the weekend of All Saints, 29 October to 1 November 2021. The precise programme will be made known in May 2021.
next you’ll be having Christmas in May
Which likely would be more correct.
Easter is a time of sacrifice.
The summer bacchanal will take place as it did 2020.
Last year it was cancelled as well!
Brilliant re-scheduling.
Right in time for the fourth wave.
I know, right?
Some people never learn, LKdj.
