LA Phil doesn’t need fundraiser they’ve got $200m endowment.
It was interesting to hear Julie Andrews talk about Mahler with Gustavo Dudamel. There were interesting pieces by Romero and Arturo MÁRQUEZ. Good to hear Katy Perry enthuising about Tchaikovsky’s 4th. Interesting to hear classical music presented with a Latin American slant.
