World’s most devoted music fan catches his death, sadly
mainThe indefatigable William Jellett, a popular figure at music festivals in the 1970s and 1980s, has died at the age of 72.
He never wore clothes and liked to be known as Jesus.
Several bands from those days have posted condolences.
Just heard that ‘Jesus’ William Jellett died today. He was at every gig I ever went to in the 70s, doing his groovy dancing and blessing us all with his happy presence. We’d call his name from the bleachers. He was validation that the artist was worth seeing. #Jesus 🙏 pic.twitter.com/bxvyM83NlW

The world feels chillier without him.
I’m reminded of “Miss Miller” who somehow became notable… for decades… as a frequent audience member at US television shows.

It was a favorable omen to have Miss Miller show up at the taping of your game show.
So I guess Mr. Jellett was the Miss Miller of Rock and Roll.
