Okay, I am coming in after the first two comments and I have now seen three different spellings for the holiday. I realise it is a transliteration, and that there are a number of acceptable spellings (though the one in the headline is new to me), but I do not understand why YOU have used two between your header and your own comment. Is the headline the Santa Monica spelling?

Happily this problem does not exist with Santa Monikkah or Tom Lehrer’s immortal “Alma (Mahler) Rag”. He is a cousin of my late neighabor Norman Lehrer, whom I sorely miss.
