Meet maestro’s Christmas baby
mainAndrew Litton, former music director in Dallas, Bournemouth and Bergen, became a father again on December 23.
Litton, who is presently music director of New York City Ballet, married its principal viola Katharina Kang in September.
The baby’s name is Anastasia Norma Litton.
Congratulations to Katharina and Andrew.
Again, who would dislike such comment? Two trolls?…
It’s a controversial relationship. Power difference and age difference!
Obviously they needed your permission before marrying. Noted.
She is clearly considerably younger, although she appears from this excerpt from her bio to be rather older than she looks and quite old enough to know what she’s doing.
‘From 2001 to 2010, Kang was a master student of Rosa Fain’s at the Robert Schumann Musikhochschule Düsseldorf and won many international and national competitions, including the Artists Award of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia in 2005. She is a scholar of the Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben and has been one of its Rising Stars since 2006. Katharina Kang is currently pursuing her Artist Diploma at the Cleveland Institute of Music under the tutelage of Jaime Laredo.’
Karl I’d suggest not trolling things about which you have no knowledge. The controversy is only in your projecting an ill-informed, out-of-date understanding of relationships onto people whom you do not know.
Mazel tov to all three of you!
Mazeltov!
Bravo – some good news to 2020! May Anastasia live a long life and get to see many of her parents’ concerts!
