The Orchestra of Gelderland & Overijssel has chosen Otto Tausk as its chief conductor, starting now.

Tausk, 49, is also music director of the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra in Canada.

    I saw him conduct. He is good. In this age of PC /metoo/ etc .conductors, he is way above the fray. He is honest, knowledgeable and has a very refreshing immediacy and tension to his direction. The fact that he is competent should endear him to the orchestra musicians. He deserves much better. It will not be easy since the music world has gone whacky. I whish him luck and all the best!
