The Scottish-born opera singer Caroline Kaart, a popular presenter of opera on Dutch television and radio after she retired from the stage, died today aged 88.

    RIP. Fun lady, fine artist. I fondly recall working with her on the epic Tom Fleming production of Sir David Lyndsay’s Ane Satyre O The Thrie Estaities at EIF in the 1980s. Sad lonely ending I hear. RIP.
