How to profit from a micro-audience (2): LA Phil players stage drive-in concert
mainFrom: Mainly Mozart Santa Fe:
Rancho Santa Fe
Saturday, July 11
3:00pm & 6:00pm
We are bending over backwards to bring live music to you, while keeping everyone safe! Celebrate resilience with us in a program of Mozart’s Divertimento in D Major and Mendelssohn’s beloved Octet, one of the greatest chamber works of all time – enjoyed from the comfort of your own car. Musicians will perform live on stage (socially-distanced of course!)
The headline would read better as “Southern California musicians”… especially when displaying a photo of Jeff Thayer, San Diego Symphony concertmaster.
Accuracy has never been a priority in SD headlines.
Also, this is for Mainly Mozart San Diego. The concert will be in Rancho Santa Fe which is a city nearby. Not Santa Fe as you stated above. Yay for geography.
I suppose in the UK, we could use Tesco and Sainsbury’s car parks, and if the concert last too long, everybody would get £60 parking ticket
The headline is incorrect. Musicians who make-up the roster of Mainly Mozart come from throughout the US. They are not just musicians of the LA Philharmonic. A good number of the musicians are from the San Diego Symphony.
This is The San Diego Mainly Mozart Festival in the Rancho Santa Fe community of San Diego not Mainly Mozart Santa Fe.
Only in LaLa land. A drive-in concert.
I remember years ago visiting a friend who lived in Garden Grove. I drove to his house, we went out for dinner, and I drove back to where I was staying; I put on almost 500 miles that day.
