mainPrepare to shed a tear.
Dr Maxton Pitcher is a Consultant Gastroenterologist at St Mark’s and Northwick Park, London, specialising in digestive disorders. He has dived in to front-line care for Coronavirus patients.
Three days ago he got out his violin when a cherished colleague survived a long battle with the plague.
His caption reads:
Emotional scenes at Northwick Park Hospital yesterday as our brave A&E sister is discharged from Elgar Ward after a touch and go 4 week battle with COVID-19. Amazing staff, camaraderie and commitment to caring for our patients in the face of adversity. Share the love!
UPDATE: We hear that Dr Max plays, off-duty, in the Haydn Chamber Orchestra.
I’m not crying, you’re crying!
