I wish I could be in London for this conversation. I had the joy of knowing Lilian and doing a little business with her in the 1980s. She is not merely a formidable lady. She has a warm, wonderful and sparkling personality and is a fund of knowledge in doing business not only with the old Soviet Union but also with China as it emerged from the Cultural Revolution.
