US orchestra picks an Aussie chief

Christopher Dragon, formerly assistant conductor of the West Australian Symphony Orchestra in Perth, is the new music director of the Wyoming Symphony.

He starts in September.

      Exactly. No kangaroos, though. But someone should send him a DVD of “Picnic at the Hanging Rock” to make him feel at home. And who is the first-chair boomerang-ist?
