The grandson also rises
mainRussian media are reporting that the new concertmaster of the Vienna Philharmonic, Fedor Rudin, is the grandson of composer Edison Denisov.
He is also the son of cellist and conductor Alexander Rudin.
The family has lived in Paris since Fedor was six years old. But, they say, all of his teachers were Russian.
Denisov is an excellent, if neglected, composer.
L’écume des jours especially.
That. Is one heck of a hairdo.
He’s almost a dead ringer for the great Toscha Seidel, hairdo and all.
All he need an avocado orchard to be complete Tosha Seidel. Love to play Edison Denisov piano pieces.
Yes, I agree!
….said the dog.
I was wondering if he was the son of Alexander Rudin, a great cellist.
It didn’t require any journalistic coup to find out he’s the grandson of Denisov; it’s on his Wikipedia page.
