The death has been announced of Ryszard Peryt, a director who specialised in Mozart and Monteverdi and worked intensively with Warsaw Chamber Opera.
Since August 2017 he has been director of the Polish Royal Opera (Polskiej Opery Królewskie).
He wrote the libretto of Zygmunt Krause’s opera Balthazar.
