Missa criola maestro has died, aged 80

The virtuoso charango player Jaime Torres died in Buenos Aires on Christmas Eve.

The son of Bolivian immigrants, he was an authority on the lute-like instrument and played on the original 1964 Missa Criola recording.

He also took part in the opening of the 1974 Worl Cup in Germany.
