Maybe “Roth stays”?
It’s a Britishism. “stop” = “stay,” as in “We’re planning to stop in London for a fortnight.”
That’s Northern slang, though.
Such distinctions are meaningless to Americans; but thanks, good to know.

No; it’s the refusal of those who voted Remain to accept the democratic vote of those who chose (in the majority) to Leave. Nothing more complicated than that.

Appears to me that the Remainers are accepting the vote, they’re just complaining about it and possibly (I don’t follow UK politics that closely) working to overturn it — both time-honored traditions in conservative politics everywhere.
