Just in: Maestro is replaced by concertmaster
mainSakari Oramo is stepping down as artistic director of the Ostrobothnian Chamber Orchestra in Finland next September.
His successor is Malin Broman, concertmaster of the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra.
Sakari himself, come to think of it, started out as concertmaster of the Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra.
Malin is a terrific section leader.
