btw, artistic director isn’t quite right. She was orchestra manager or managing director (Intendant).
A year in Jena would drive anyone crazy.

Juliane Wandel was organizing the orchestra academy of Berlin Philharmonic and wasn’t suited for organizing with structure and a plan as well.
A very unsympathetic, negative person as well.
I guess Jena is relieved.
Your points notwithstanding, I don’t know if relief is the appropriate sentiment, considering Jena has run through three Intendanten in as many years.
