The well-known soloist Richard Harwood has taken the #1 cello seat in the beleaguered RPO.

He has been playing professional dates since he was 10 years old.

    Why is the RPO beleaguered? They are one of the busiest orchestras around, thrilling audiences and working unbelievably hard to provide first-class music to areas of the UK that are otherwise neglected by other orchestras. I would argue that they were vibrant and energetic, not beleaguered.
