So is it a foreclosure property–or is there another reason why it is being auctioned?
And who on earth would want to live in Baltimore anyhow, given how infamous the city has become for its crime and murder rate?
Some people live there already and would fancy a nice well-appointed house in what looks like great location.
But the price is unbelievable. A house like that in any Canadian city would run up to four times that price. As for the UK — I shudder to think.
it’s not in Baltimore – it’s in the suburbs
The selling price (to Ms. Alsop??) in 2010 was $1,000,000. Before this auction was announced, it was listed for sale this past April at $829,000, then reduced six weeks later to $799,900.
$500,000 seems like a steal!
Seems like a good deal even though I don’t share her taste. Has everything I need like a big Boom Boom Room, game room, wine cellar, and carriage house to stay in after fights with the spouse. What more could one need or want?
