There are numerous Israeli conductors who have outstanding careers in orchestras worldwide and have attained great musical success. Volkov, Ettinger, Shani to name a few of the younger generation or Inbal and Steinberg of the older generation. Other than Shani who is glorified in Israel, the IPO disregards all of them. That’s a shame.
