Meet the world’s tallest concert pianist
mainElisa Tomellini of Genoa is an Italian pianist who likes to climb mountains.
So she took her Kawai up 4460 meters above Monte Rosa and gave what appears to be the highest-altitude concert ever known.
Video report here.
UPDATE: France says no.
Umm…because?
To get herself mentioned in Slipped disc.
Precisely! Is there nothing better to do with one’s Steinway?
Tallest, or highest?
Climatic conditions that can’t be very good for that piano.
Um….. Pennines?
Someone is very bad at geography they are the Apennines, not the Peak District!
Actually you are wrong too. Monte Rosa is in the Pennine Alps, not in the Apennines.
I don’t understand how she could hear herself, not to mention what kind of audience she really had.
By contrast, this 9-year-old stunt at the mountains, with Francois-Rene Duchable, seems more like a real concert.

Did the girl carry the piano to that mountaintop???
THAT’ would/should/icould be a real Guiness’Book of Records THING!!!
🙂
Idiotic. How many starving children could have been given a cheap lunch with the money for this stupid stunt?
Some space station astronauts have taken instruments with to low earth orbit.
I was there and found her playing cold and aloof.
It was over my head!
