Victoria Wood’s daughter is up for major singing award
mainThe semi-finalists have been announced for the Kathleen Ferrier Award at the Wigmore Hall on Wednesday.
First to sing among the last 12 will be Grace Durham, 27, a mezzo-soprano member of the Glyndebourne Opera chorus, and daughter of the much-lamented comedian Victoria Wood, who died last week.
Line-up here.
And also a First Class Honours degree from Cambridge, a chip off the old block indeed…
Good luck to her and them all. Wish I were in London to hear them
A bittersweet time for Ms Durham. Whatever the outcome she can be assured that many will be wishing her well whilst at the same time grieving with her at the loss of her mother who brightened the lives of millions.
