German counter-tenor duets with Israeli popster
mainAndreas Scholl has an Israeli wife, the pianist Tamar Halperin, and a deep immersion in her culture.
Now it has taken him into a creative exchange with Idan Raichel, a folk-rock performer who writes songs in Hebrew for Andreas.

They have a gig next week in Berlin.
I absolutely LOVE the work of this counter tenor!!
The concert in Berlin actually took place on Feb. 22, 2016 at the Lido-Kreuzberg.
Very happy to learn of this — Scholl is really golden. I’ve never heard him do anything I didn’t enjoy thoroughly.
Finally got a chance to listen from home — wonderful stuff! And I’m very surprised — I never heard his chest voice sound so good!
