Major piano prizewinner dies, aged 44
mainRussian media are reporting the death of Dmitri Teterin, winner in 1998 of the Cincinnati international piano competition and runner up in several other big contests. Dmitri enjoyed a brief international career before enjoying a life of teaching and jury service.
He was a student in Cleveland of Sergei Babayan.
No cause of death has been disclosed.
We send sympathies to his family.
Is he the pianist Olga Kern briefly married? If so I assume he was essentially survived by a piano prodigy son?
