I’m surprised that you don’t take issue that neither of them are British, and yet appear on a BBC feature.

I can think of three:
a) They’re playing together despite…
b) They’re not going to play at all
c) They’re playing but it’s not together (i.e. “That damn Iranian is always behind the beat!”)
