Maestro’s widow wins $200k for botched hand op

The violinist Cordula Kempe Oettinger, widow of the conductor Rudolf Kempe of the widow, has been awarded 170,000 Euros by a Munich court against a local surgeon who left her with damaged nerves in her hand.

Cordula, 71, had been a pioneering woman player in the Munich Philharmonic.
