Fastest pianist on earth sets out on go-slow tour
mainLubomyr Melnyk made a (small) name for himself by claiming to play 19.5 notes per second, which is more than most of us want to hear.
Overwhelmed by international indifference, he has now composed a rather beautiful slow tune. He’s coming to the Royal Albert Hall next week.
Beautiful! This could almost be an aria by Puccini!!!!
If he keeps at it and would one day reach let’s say 20,69 notes per sec., would you regard this as an even greater musical achievement?
