Thanks for sharing this–human trafficking and domestic violence share the same dynamic of manipulation and control over other people and as a singer & survivor of domestic violence, reaching 6 years of freedom this month, this helps me remember what we’re really here to do and why we do it.
Taken as a whole, the bicycle ride, the concerts, and the social theme are something like a work of performance art – and for a very noble cause. Perhaps Miriam should consider the new Masters degree program in Performance Art at the Musikhochschule Trossingen. About time that violists become the most interesting and daring musicians in the orchestra — and the ones who make a true difference in the world.
