Valencia’s Les Arts Orchestra is starting to look like a Minnesota Orchestra replay. The best players are bailing out due to economic problems. The number of musicians in the orch. is now down to 51, after Mr. Bouwman’s departure. It started with over 70 in 2005.

The loss of Spain is the gain of Switzerland. Such a high profile and talented musician leaving is not good for Valencia. I hope the pay deal is as good as the musician.
