She’s still advertised as playing with the LSO and Rattle at the Barbican on 19 September and on the following tour to Tokyo and Korea.
The venues usually announce their artist replacements just a couple of days before the event so that they guarantee maximum ticket sales – of course everyone wants to go and listen to Janine!
For your information: Janine Jansen has a hand injury and this forces her for several months not to play.
But she played at Bernstein’s 100 years event.. So this cannot be true.
On September 8 she was planned to play Bernstein’s Serenade after Plato’s ‘Symposion’ with Camerata Salzburg conducted by Daniel Blendulf at the Rudolfinum in Prague (Leonard Bernstein at 100). However, she will be replaced by Hilary Hahn.
True. But she still played on the 25th August. There is a review on Lübecker Nachrichten website. She has also posted about it in her Facebook page.
She is back tonight and tomorrow for Berg’s concerto with Tonhalle Zurich.
She is now out for a recital in Hong Kong on 23 Sept.
