The former Covent Garden and Kennedy Center director has a new job – as  interim executive director of the San Antonio Symphony.

He may prove hard to dislodge.

Kaiser left Kennedy in 2013. ‘I’ve spent most of my career with troubled organisations,’ he says.

    A comedown all but in name. It’s a long long way, in more ways than one, from CG to Betsy DeVos to San Antonio.

      I say this as a former (two year) senior staff member of the San Antonio Symphony.

    San Antonio are starting next season with that well-known pianist Andre Watts. Michael Kaiser explains “you don’t save Arts organisations by cutting budgets, you save them by exciting audiences.”
